The new museum of Splott that fits in your pocket, ‘The Story of Splott in 50 Objects’ is proving a hit with Splotties who have moved far and wide.
Desri and Steve Davidson, formerly of Ruby Street, Splott, despite moving away over 20 years ago now run the Neuadd Henllan Hotel in Builth Wells, but still retain a warm affection for the place where they grew up.
Since leaving Splott the couple have had a successful career running pubs in West Wales before taking on their latest venture, a hotel in the Royal showground at Builth.
A chance connection with a hotel visitor led them to acquiring their own ‘pocket museum’ of Splott, reconnecting with their roots and old favourites, such as ‘Jessie the steam engine’ bringing back many happy memories.

If you know of anyone who used to live in Splott but now lives away, why not let them know about the fantastic celebration of Splott, its heritage, characters, and places everyone loves.
