Last chance to have your say on the proposed cycle hangar on Adeline St, as the consultation closes on the 12th of January.
Cardiff Council are consulting on plans to introduce cycle hangars at 17 locations in residential areas to support active travel. Cycle hangars are free-standing, metal, lockable units for the safe and secure storage of bicycles. They provide storage for residents who cannot store a bicycle in their own property. Residents can rent a space.

The cycle hangar is a metal unit 2.5m long and 1.3m high. It is located on the carriageway, with the front of the hangar fixed to the kerb and is accessed from the footway. The door to the cycle hangar opens upwards to a height of 2.1m, with handles provided on both sides of the door. The cycle hangar stores up to 6 bikes. To access the cycle hangar, the footway may be temporarily blocked while the user manoeuvres their cycle into the hangar from the footway.

Cardiff Council has a consultation page for this scheme where you can find additional details, the website link is: www.cardiff.gov.uk/TransportProjects
The closing date for the consultation is 12th January 2026.
