Concerns over the through traffic on Moorland Road and the surrounding area have been raised by the local Ward Councillors and residents.
Some of the concerns raised include:
- Large volumes of through traffic and the issue associated air quality concerns and damage to vehicles;
- Issues relating to priority narrowing’s, such as hazardous driving and anti-social behaviour;
- Cyclists using the footway instead of the carriageway due to perceived safety concerns of cycling on the road;
- Parking on the Beresford bridge causing access issues; and
- Crossing points for pedestrians which are difficult to cross due to parked cars, traffic volume, or a limited number of crossings.
Now there is a survey set up to seek to further understand the traffic related issues raised for the Moorland Road area.
If you would like to make any comments regarding the traffic issues in this area, please complete the survey by 20/10/2024
