Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June – Treescaping Immersive Exhibition
Immerse yourself in an imagined urban future of Wales, characterised by equitable access to trees, vibrancy and green spaces.
Splott Community Volunteers in partnership with Coed Cadw, the Woodland Trust in Wales, warmly invites you to visit an immersive exhibition in the sports hall at the back of the old STAR Centre, just off Splott Road on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th of June.
Treescapism is an immersive exhibition that reimagines Wales’s urban future with trees, green space, and equitable access to nature. Curated by artistic collective Rewired Life, the show is composed of pieces created by the community of Splott.
Urban communities require trees as essential infrastructure to support public health and climate resilience. Yet the Woodland Trust’s Tree Equity Score shows that residents of Splott have some of the lowest access to trees anywhere in the UK and
are disproportionately affected by environmental hazards like extreme heat and pollution.
