New website is one-stop-shop for well-being services

A new website has been launched to provide residents in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan with a one-stop-shop for information on a range of well-being services, activities and support available to them and their families.

Launched this week, Dewis Cymru is a new online directory that allows users to access information on services in areas such as health, care, benefits, money management, clubs, activities and support for families.

With more than 1,500 wellbeing resources already registered with Dewis Cymru, it is designed to help residents find what they need without going to a professional or calling for help.

Visitors to Dewis Cymru can select the category they are interested in and a range of advice and links to services is available.

It is also possible to use a postcode to search by location to find a particular service or activity in a specific area.

Cllr Susan Elsmore, the Cabinet Member for Social Care, Health and Well-being at Cardiff Council, said:

“The Dewis Cymru website is a fantastic place to go to if you want to find out what sort of services, activities, clubs and support is available where you live.

“There is so much information on the website withpages about being well, being social, being at home, being safe, managing your money, children and families and looking after someone.

“I would encourage residents to take a look for themselves.”

And if you have a service that helps people with their well-being, you can add your details to Dewis Cymru, no matter how big or small you are, or whether you’re volunteers.
